This portrait is a self portrait of myself holding a light, just for effect. I really like this picture because it's so simple, yet very interesting at the same time. To add some colors boosts, I increased the temperature and lowered the tint to make it appear warmer against the black background. I increased exposure to make the natural light shine even more off my skin and body. The blacks were also increased to give a little more contrast between lights and darks. Finally, I bumped up the orange, yellow, and green hues to give my skin and shirt more coloration.
This is an environmental picture taken of my little cousin during Easter and I was able to use it for this assignment. Before I edited it, the colors were drab and not very vibrant, so I increased the temperature for warmth, brought up the fill lights and blacks to lighten the overall photo and blacks to make my cousin clearly stand out. I then increased the yellow, green, and orange hues to make the background more appealing.
Classic Portrait
This is my favorite portrait because it's of my little brother, Kaden. Again, because he's a little kid, I wanted to keep the softness of his hands and face clear. I increased the temperature as usual and decreased the tints to bring warmth into the picture, making it appear more inviting. Then I increased the recovery, fill light, and blacks. I increased the brightness and then the contrast to balance it out. I framed it just around his head and shoulders, intentionally making sure that the background was blurred. The natural lighting worked great in this photo because I took it in the brightest part of my house.
